Jackson Guitars

History

Image description

The Jackson Rhoads originated from a collaboration between guitarist Randy Rhoads and Grover Jackson's team in the early 1980s. Rhoads approached Jackson with an idea for a custom guitar, which resulted in the creation of the innovative "Concorde" prototype. This initial design was later revised by Rhoads to feature a more distinctive, elongated "shark fin" body shape. Tragically, Rhoads passed away before the final prototypes were completed, but these guitars went on to become the first models sold under the Jackson brand name. The Jackson Rhoads became an iconic metal guitar, known for its slender, aggressive aesthetics and association with Rhoads' virtuosic playing.
