History

Image description

The Jackson Warrior was introduced in 1989 as a high-performance metal guitar. It was designed by Mikey Wright, the head of R&D at Jackson. The Warrior's distinctive X-shaped body was inspired by the brand's iconic "pointy" headstock design, giving it a unique and aggressive aesthetic. The original Warrior featured a neck-through-body construction with a poplar body and maple neck, along with high-output pickups and a Floyd Rose tremolo system. As thrash and death metal genres accelerated in the late 1980s, the Warrior became a specialist instrument for the most demanding metal players. Today, the Warrior remains a core model in the Jackson lineup, continuing the brand's legacy of innovative, high-performance guitar designs.
